Mateo is a rare color.  He is registered as a Buckskin Modified Dilution.  In 2006 he tested positive for the Pearl gene, a rare recessive dilution gene.  He is also believed to be a champagne. 

 

Mateo is also a very athletic young stallion.  He has excellent confirmation and movement.  In his three years of age he has already proven himself in the show ring with top placings at IALHA Regionals and Nationals as well as USDF Shows.  Mateo also has earned a USEF horse of the year award.
