Mateo is a 2004 son of National Champion Andalusian Stallion Saphiro. Mateo himself has earned a National Top Five Halter title, Regional Champion, Reserve Champion Best Movement, USEF Horse of the Year, and multiple USDF Placings. Mateo is 15.2 hands. He was unshown in 2008 and 2009 due to our family medical issues. He will be shown again in 2010. He is a personable horse who loves to be the center of attention and is the class clown around the ranch. He has lots of trail time and has incredible endurance and stamina. He has an uphill build, lots of bone, and excellent feet. Mateo has a few foals all ready on the ground, the oldest are one year old. They have wonderful dispositions and are very trainable. Mateo has one cream gene and one pearl gene so he can throw a rainbow of color. With limited breeding he has produced Bay pearl, Chestnut Pearl, Buckskin, and Prelino. Mateo is available through cooled shipped semen for the 2010 breeding season. He ships successfully with good motility rates. Visitors are welcome at the ranch, just give us a call to set up a time.
